Did you know that the largest structure ever built to commemorate an American battlefield is located in Vincennes?
In both cases the answer is the George Rogers Clark Memorial, the ditinctly huge limestone structure which is part of the GRC National Historical Park. That’s right, a national park – right here in Knox County. It is one of several points officials at the Park are hoping to make clear in the future as a renewed focus on a long-range interpretive plan begins to take shape.
