Boomer-aged Mike Dodds has been a regular at Da Bar in Oaktown for a long time. He and the bar’s original owner, Ron Thomas, were good friends. “I know most of the people. I come in here and listen to good music … maybe three or four times a week … hang out with friends,” Dodds said as he sat at the bar and sipped a Bud Light.
Owners Troy and Dena Thomas say baby boomers like Dodds, 62, make up most their clientele.
“We get a lot of locals and the Duke guys (power plant workers from Edwardsport). We get a few more every month that we haven’t seen before,” Troy Thomas said.
