The Washington Times Herald won a first place award in a national company-wide contest in Division III for Boomer magazine, produced by the Times Herald staff and numerous freelancers. Judges cited Boomer for its design, photography and stories which they said “projected a sense of community.”
Boomer publisher Melody Brunson said, “We are thrilled. We have been trying to win the top magazine award for 10 years. Competition is stiff.”
