It all started in 1993 when Bicknell resident Floyd Wheeler decided to decorate his home with a few Christmas lights.
It’s now 18 years later, and the Wheeler family has added a few lights to the original collection. About 31,000 give or take a few hundred.
Floyd and LeAnn Wheeler light up the southern portion of Bicknell each Christmas season with holiday lights on their home, a playhouse, fences that border the property, a home-built Christmas tree located centrally in the side yard, some reindeer, some teeter-totters with bears, real trees on the property, just about anything that is connected with their south Main Street home.
