It’s a quiet little spot just off of Ill. 33, about a mile from Westport, Ill. This peaceful wodded setting located near Robeson Hills lives up to its name, “Lasata,” a Native American word for “a place of peace.”
A number of people enjoyed the peaceful setting and the products of Lasata Winery on a Sunday afternoon in mid-October, during the winery’s Autumnfest event.
That effort slowly morphed into the Lasata Winery.
“We thought that there was probably more money to be made in making wine than just selling the grape,” Robling said.
