David Daniel was a skilled machinist who served 18 years with the U.S. Air Force before he uprooted his family and brought them to Indiana so that he could study at Vincennes University.
Why?
Because aerospace companies like Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman Corp., told him they had plenty of manual machinists. They were looking for trained CNC (Computer Numeric Control) programmers – for machines that can cut billet steel into any size or shape.
“All of them said the same thing,” Daniel said. “They told me to look into CNC training at Vincennes University.”
