Attorney Joe Black is a familiar face to generations of inner-city Vincennes children who have participated in his youth ministry since 1967.
A native of Winslow in Pike County, Black had an interest in helping children. While still a tennager, he took over a Pike County 4-H club and also served as a Sunday school superintendent.
Black worked with at -risk children during his undergraduate years at the University of Evansville. In Evansville, he worked at the Neighborhood House community center near Deaconess Hospital. His insights about working with teenagers may stem from an experience there.
