The first phase of the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy will open July 18 in celebration of Red’s 100th birthday. Prepare to be flabbergasted!
This museum is a fabulous space with interactive exhibits allowing visitors the chance to match Red’s facial expressions — look by look, or paint a virtual clown face or even to try a Red Skelton pratfall. As the Museum’s Marketing Director, Anne Pratt, excitedly reported after seeing a few of the newly installed exhibits, “People coming will be amazed at the scope and interactive fun of what they’ll see and experience here! It’s worth a trip to Vincennes.”
You can be among the first to view the new museum which celebrates the life, talent and legacy of an American treasure in the context of his place in the history of American Comedy. Visit “Red Skelton – A Legacy of Laughter.” Introduce your kids or grand kids to this singular comedian: You’ll all have a good time!
According to Shirley Ray, the museum’s executive director, “This is the first time that Red’s collection of memorabilia is accessible to the public.
