Life in The Melon Patch

The Williams family farm in Oaktown, Ind., dates back to 1875.  Hal Williams and his brother-in-law Allen Scott were owners of the farm.  It is now operated by Hal and his son Kent Williams.  Kade is the newest edition to the Williams family this past August.

Kent and his wife Jill were both born and reared in Knox County.  Kent is a graduate of North Knox High School.  Jill is a graduate of Rivet High School.  She was graduated from Purdue University with a degree in agribusiness management.

The Williamses grew corn, soybeans, bantaloupes, watermelons adn pumpkins.  The year 2012 will be a year that doesn’t go forgotten by this family.
